About Us

Chloros was established in 2009 by founding directors Richard Hurdle and Jason Lee.

Since this time, it has become one of Britain's fastest-growing hazardous waste management and waste recycling companies with nationwide coverage in England, Wales, and Scotland.

In 2013, Richard and Jason entered a joint venture that enabled them to open a brand new fully licensed transfer facility in the West Midlands and decided to rebrand the company to reflect this rapid growth into new markets.

Now an established team of Chemists, Technical Specialists, Administrators and Sales professionals, Chloros continues to provide an exceptional service to all customers and endeavours to deliver ethical and sustainable waste management services with a strong emphasis on diverting waste away from landfill and towards recycling routes.

This includes working closely with multiple European outlets which provide certified recycling options for various hazardous waste streams, such as flammable sludges, oily media and solvents for recovery.

In 2019, Chloros made a 7-figure investment into a new Headquarters at Hartlebury Trading Estate, Kidderminster, enabling it to drive continued and rapid growth, whilst ensuring the firm operates to BAT [Best Available Techniques] for the waste industry.

In 2020, we joined GRG Waste UK who have a growing network of facilities around the UK. GRG are aligned with our ethos of providing a fully compliant total waste management service for our clients.

Chloros treats all customers, their waste and the environment, with care.

Testimonials

'I just wanted to say how pleased I was with our recent chemical collection – specifically how helpful and friendly Andy was. I was quite choked up with the cold last week and (given the problems I’d had from our side in getting this organised) I’ll admit I was slightly expecting some kind of last minute setback…However nothing seemed to be a bother for Andy and it was really appreciated that the whole process went really smoothly. '

Lynsey, QC Analyst, Clackmannanshire

"I was looking at using a more local company to dispose of our chemical waste and I was introduced to Chloros by a work colleague. Since our first encounter, I have to say that the co-operation and communication has been first class. As a result, I would highly recommend Chloros to anybody who requires a disposal of their waste."

Chemical production supervisor, Wiltshire.

“Chloros has provided our company very professional, prompt and cost-effective services for our waste streams on site. Fully recommend their services.”

Warehousing and distribution company, Gloucestershire

“I have used Chloros since the company was formed. Having dealt with Richard before Chloros inception, I knew the level of service I could expect and the team have not let me down. Chloros provides an extensive amount of knowledge and expertise as well as flexible, customer focused service arrangements. I always know that work is carried out to the standards I expect and that compliance with regulations is paramount.”

NHS Trust environmental manager, Devon

“We contracted Hayley to develop and deliver Chemical Hazard Awareness Training Modules for the eight key hazardous substances in use on our site.
Hayley gathered the relevant information and tailored these modules specifically for our business. Following a successful pilot, she delivered 22 sessions with an average attendance of 10 employees. She capably answered their questions and detailed any concerns raised for the business to follow up.
We are delighted with all aspects of the service provided by Hayley over the duration of this project.  She is very thorough, her technical knowledge is of a very high standard and her presentation and communication skills are excellent. She developed genuine trust and rapport with our staff and will certainly feature within our preferred trainers for the future.
Without exception, the feedback from those who attended the training is very positive. They particularly liked her open, friendly approach and remarked on how useful, interesting and informative the sessions were.
In addition, Hayley was very well organised and reliable. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hayley for this type of work. We will definitely be inviting her back in the future!
She has helped us to meet our legal obligations and to reduce the health risks to our staff.”
